There are numerous processes that we follow to ensure we find you the best people to match your needs. The first of which starts with us getting to know you and your business.
Getting to Know You
Here at Adam Butler Consultancy, we are firm believers in our own cultures and values.
Most employees spend 40 or more hours at their workplace and so an organisation’s culture obviously affects both their work and personal lives. Organisational culture refers to the beliefs, ideologies, principles and values that the individuals of an organisation share.
Core values are what support the vision, shape the culture and reflect what a company values. They are the essence of the company’s identity – the principles, beliefs or philosophy of values. Core values help companies in the decision-making processes.
Getting to understand your own business’s cultures and values is the first step to ensuring we match the right talent to your organisation.
Understanding Your Requirements
This is the next key step – which areas of your business are you looking to grow and strengthen? What will be the key responsibilities for each role? What experience and qualifications best match your ideal person for this role? Do you currently know anyone suitable for this role? Could you promote from within? Who is your competition for talent?
Once we have the answers to these questions, the next step will be to review our own talent pool.
The Talent Pool
What is a talent pool? A talent pool is our own database made up of tens of thousands of candidates.
Our talent pool contains many potential candidates or passive candidates, those who may not necessarily be looking for their next opportunity but have taken the time to engage with us to discuss future opportunities and what might make them consider a move in the future.
Our Talent pool also contains candidates who have at some point, in recent times, been looking for work or looking to take the next exciting step on their own journey of employment. These are all people who we will have had regular contact with, people who are receptive to our calls and are almost expecting us to call them to present exciting new opportunities to them.
From this database we would select candidates whose profiles closely match those of people interested in working for an organisation like yours. They will also match the specific area of expertise required for your role or focus on a grouping of individuals who are capable of performing a variety of job tasks.
Bespoke Solutions
Our 12 years in the industry also tell us that no two recruitment assignments are the same. Although we can find similarities with many, it often calls on us to bespoke a solution to finding the right talent.
Research into market conditions and specific industries will often allow us to make an honest appraisal of each assignment. Mapping an industry will also help us to give a fair assessment of the availability of candidates and how attractive your role and remuneration packages are and whether adjustments need to be made to encourage the best talent to your business.

Our own business also contains team members who are specialists in their own market, consultants who have not only recruited in a specific industry for many years but also spent many years working in their niche industry. They will know their industry inside out, will know all the contacts within that industry, industry trends and where the best talent is.
Headhunting the best talent therefore becomes less challenging, industry experts are far more receptive to another industry expert than they are to someone who doesn’t understand their own challenges and expectations.

If required, we can also arrange psychometric testing and our assessment centres are becoming an increasingly important part of some companies vetting processes.
